As ASPEG (Anatolian Speleology Group) and members from HUMAK (Hacettepe University Caving Club) has descended to the longest pit in Turkey; Bucakalan cave, 305 meters. This cave has two pits, one is going down to -192 m and other goes down to -345 m. In 1992, it was discovered by French cavers and they have left some galleries unexplored especially in 192 m pit. We have discovered one gallery and went down 50 m. 14 cavers was in the expedition. Also we have found cave grasshopers and collected samples to identify their origin. We had caver-biologists in our team.
