The Arabica-2011 expedition was a major success. It was held between September 1 to October 7 in the triangle (Western Caucasus, Abkhazia, Gagra ridge mountain Arabica). Finally the breaktrough happened after a decade of work. 41 members of siberian speleology, mainly from Krasnoyarsk participated in the camp, where a narrow meander was widened at -1460, and a 6m long half-siphon was bypassed at the old bottom of -1560m. Now current reached depth is -1760m, which makes Sarma the second deepest cave in the world. Also numerous scientific research was done, and surface exploration also. original info here
