Iran Deepest Pit Record Broken Again 140m

Sep 2 2010. A group of Iranian cavers form ICSA (Iran Caving and Speleology Association) are now exploring a deep pit near Hafshehjan, Shahrekord in the west of Iran. The latest news says that they have right now reached the depth of -140 meters which still seems to continue. The previous attempts by other local cavers had reached -120 meters. The previous record holder was Ghar Qalaichi -120m situated in Bokan, West Azarbaijan, Iran. We are waiting for more exciting news from these cavers.
