Lovettecannas Cave (Baunei, Sardinia, Italy). The gigantic chamber - Salone Marco Mattu – has been discovered in one of the last expeditions (19 July) at more than 500 m of depth from the cave main entrance altitude, rising this cave at the first position on the list of deepest caves in Sardinia. The chamber shows peculiar sizes, being more than 400 m long, more than 300 large and about 115 m high - still under detailed measurement - and it is where the internal camp has been set. Exploration, survey and detailed mapping are yet going on, under an extremely enthusiastic working environment of a very close and motivated group of cavers. The exploration project started at the beginning of year 2010, and, up to now, more than three kilometres of new galleries have been found.
