Here you can read about an expedition to Laos, where cavers discovered more than 30 new caves, with 7km+ length, including two bigger ones with the length of 1,5km. Four members of Speleoclub Garfagnana participated in the expedition, which lasted for about a month.
At 6th of March, 2010 two recently (2008, 2009) discovered caves were connected in the karst of Buda-hills. The new system is named Harcsaszájú – Hideglyuk barlang, which is 5km long (surveyed), with 85m depth. Jewel Cave surpassed 150 miles of mapped and explored passageways last weekend, according to a news release. Three exploration teams of volunteers entered the cave on Saturday morning and spent between 12 and 20 hours underground surveying various areas of the cave.
