Cedric Lachat, climber and caver disovered a new entrance to Gouffre Berger, while get lost in the High Plateau Vercors, searching for the original entrance. The entrance leads to a series of large wells, P110,P80,P15m,P30, a few more jumps and the cave lead to a junction to Berger’s Gallery of the Mud (which is upstream from the original entrance). Explorations started in 1969 by Alain Marbach (club “la Tronche”), continued by 1972 Henri Rossetti (GSM/FJS), with Paul Petzl. The entrance is 50m higher as the highest one (this is the 11th entrance to the system), so the cave become deeper, -1320m ! with 25km of length. original here
