From december to january, two expeditions visited the worlds second deepest cave, the Illyuzia-Mezhonnogo-Snezhnaya system. They used the lower Snezhnaya entrance, and faced some serious flooding around the bottom, because of melting of snow at the surface. You can read about the expedition proceedings here and here.
