Durmitor explo

Montenegro-0569

Earlier here we wrote about the belgians discovery in Durmitor mountain, Montenegro. Now we have some more deatiled information, some pictures of the cave here. Between 13.7 – 19.8 2009 there was an exploration camp organized by the Montenegro Speleological society, and the ASAK club from Belgrade. In the period from 13.7. to 1.8. on the ground were cavers from Belgium (from several clubs). In repeated tour to the cave AB 308, which was investigated earlier 2004th,and had a snow plug at -40 m depth, they found a passage which continued, and reached -440 m. Due to lack of time, they stopped the research, and their team will continue in 2010th. The pit was named Flis. The caver camp was also attended by numerous people from polish and croatian caving clubs. Polish cavers from KKS and TKTJ clubs pushed X11-08 cave to -232m, where they found no continuation, but they found a phreatic passage at the depth of -120m. The croatian cavers helped in transporting the material, and they also organized a small rescue for a polish caver who was injured by rockfall in X11-08. The original aim of the croatian team was to dive in Jama na Vjetrenim brdima, in a side passage at -437m, but this was not possible due to technical problems.
