Report of the caving expedition held by KKTJ Krakow in Dürrkar area (Leoganger Steinberg, Austria) 2009
As a result of our exploration of the Tropical System – Viertel Höhle ,we achieved in two different sequences, respectively vertical depth of -533 and-690m, and reached an aggregate length of about 4.5 km. In addition to this system,we also conducted a surface exploration of other caves in the Dürrkar. The deepest of them reaching-65m. During several trips on surface also conducted a preliminary determination of openings located in the Hochgrub area. During the duration of the expedition we surveyed approximately 1700 meters of new corridors.
