You can buy two relatively new books from the italian La Venta geologycal exploration team, one about exploring glacier caves, the other one about the giant cristals of Naica cave in South America.

Hagengebirge 2009

In the last days of July and the first weeks of August took place another expedition of Sopockiego Klubu Taternictwa Jaskiniowego and Sekcji Grotołazów Wrocław speleologists, in Hagengebirge Austrian massif. The expedition was attended by 14 people.

Hungarians in Krubera

You can read a trip description of four hungarian cavers, who visited Krubera cave with the international expedition organized by Ukra. SA this september. They surpassed the hungarian depth record (1997 Lukina Jama -1392m) with reaching Game Over chamber at -2080m. The cavers used the Scurion lamp during their expedition.

Belgian cavers meeting

Mesačný tieň – 23km

During two long weekends in August, and in September, slovak cavers extended Mesačný tieň cave ( -441m depth) with two kilometers of surveyed passages, with actions taken from underground camps. You can find their report with pictures, and the map of the cave here and here.

Film from Velebita abyss

Here you can find a beautifoul film made by croatian cavers about their expedition in the Velebita pit (Croatia, Velebit mountains). The cave has the biggest vertical drop underground – 513m. The film is in croatian language, but it has english commentaries. Outstanding one!
